Privacy Policy
The Human Layer: Our Promise to You
We believe privacy policies should be clear, not confusing. Here is our promise in plain English:
- We DO NOT sell your data. Ever. Our business is building great software, not selling your information.
- We DO NOT create advertising profiles. We don't track your activity across other sites to target you with ads.
- We CANNOT read your encrypted content. The core of our services will be built on strong encryption. We architect our systems so that we don't have the keys to access your private content.
- We collect the absolute minimum data required for the service to function (e.g., your email for account login).
- You have full control. You can easily download or permanently delete your data from your account settings at any time.

1. Information We Collect
To provide and improve our Services, we collect a minimal amount of information. We are committed to collecting only what is necessary.
a. Account Information
When you create a Syvarin ID, we collect your chosen username, your email address, and a cryptographically hashed version of your password. This information is used solely for authentication, account management, security notifications, and password resets.
b. Service Data
This is the content you create, upload, or store in our Services, such as messages, files, or notes ("Service Data"). Where we offer privacy-centric features, this data is end-to-end encrypted or client-side encrypted. This means we do not possess the keys to decrypt this data. It is stored on our servers solely to enable synchronization across your devices.
c. Technical & Operational Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated technical information, such as server load, error logs, and bandwidth usage, to maintain and improve the stability and security of our Services. This data is not tied to your personal identity and cannot be used to identify you.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to provide, maintain, secure, and improve our Services. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without your explicit consent. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Authenticate your access to our Services.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Communicate important service-related notices.
- Protect the security and integrity of our systems.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We believe what we don't collect is as important as what we do. Syvarin explicitly does not:
- Track your location.
- Scan your emails to create ad profiles.
- Collect data from third-party services without your explicit permission.
- Use cookies for cross-site tracking or advertising.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. We will only share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Your Consent: We will share information with third parties when we have your explicit consent to do so.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information to a third party if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, (b) protect the safety of any person from death or serious bodily injury, (c) prevent fraud or abuse of Syvarin or its users, or (d) protect Syvarin's property rights.
5. Your Rights & Data Control
You are in control of your data. In line with modern privacy regulations such as the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: You can request a complete copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time through your account settings.
- Correction: You can update and correct your account information directly in your settings.
- Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can permanently delete your Syvarin ID and all associated data through your account settings. This action is irreversible.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. If a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify you via email or an in-product notification.
(This is a template policy for demonstration. A real Privacy Policy must be drafted and reviewed by a qualified legal professional to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.)
